Switching on lights and music by hand every evening gets old quickly. This snow globe has a 6 hour timer that runs on a 24 hour cycle, so the lights come on at the same time each day. There are 3 modes, which are lights with music, off, and lights only, so you can pick quiet when you want it. The built-in music box plays 8 carols, including Jingle Bells and Silent Night.
